Introduction week is a meeting prepared by the ESN platform for international students to become familiar with the school system, Budweis and Czech culture. It is a week full of necessary information, presentations, nice trips, parties and fun. The introduction week is considered a subject for 6 ECTS; however, the participation is not obligatory for students. In case you would like to participate, write it in the Learning Agreement. The IDW is usually held one week before the beginning of a new semester. Students are obliged to arrange their arrival in the Czech Republic before this term.
Introduction week schedule
Monday: Get-to-know-each other game; Obtaining travel cards; Karaoke
Tuesday: Presentation about ESN, Erasmus, VSTE; Budvar brewery tour; Movie night
Wednesday: Presentation about Czech Republic; Welcome dinner; Welcome party
Thursday: Registration in the VSTE Information system
Friday-Sunday: Trips to Prague or in South Bohemia (depending on the weather)
*the ESN reserves the right to change the schedule of Introduction week due to inappropriate conditions
