Reviewed professional journal: since 2008 the magazine has published by reviewing contributions. In mid-2010, the journal was included in the list of non-impacted refereed journals.
Topic focus
Littera Scripta multidisciplinary journal, published by the Institute of Technology and Economics, České Budějovice (VŠTE) is based on two thematic series. One is focused on economics and management, the second is focused on technical disciplines. Its focus corresponds to a field-focus VŠTE.
Journal targets
The aim of this structured and conceived magazine is to create sufficient space for publishing activities, and also a broad platform for exchanging views, experiences and gaining new knowledge from research and creative work. It is designed especially for the academic staff of university and non-university colleges in the Czech Republic.
Inclusion on the list of non-impacted refereed journals
In recent years the magazine has undergone a major transformation. The objective of this effort was the inclusion in the journal Scripta Littera list of non-impacted refereed journals. Based on this objective was, therefore, all posts are subject to regular review. In mid-2010 the magazine entered the list. Currently, the editors aim to ensure that the formal and professional level of the magazine is to contribute to the cultivation and development of research, science and general knowledge. This objective has been subordinated to the structure and functioning of the magazine.
Review Procedure
Each article goes through a two-round review process - assessing individual skills by the editorial board and the formal requirements by the executive editor in the first round and assessment by two independent reviewers in the second round.
Reviewing process is anonymous - the reviewer knows the author, the author does not know the name of the reviewer. This is intended not only to maintain maximum objectivity when assessing by reviewers, but in a broader sense they are also published papers, which are current, and bring new information and in terms of development of science and knowledge are relevant.
VŠTE as a publisher believe that the magazine Littera Scripta happens to be recognized for a broad academic community and sought-after resource for publishing activities.
