The Institute of Technology and Business belongs to the new public universities. It was established on 27th April, 2006 under Act No. 162/2006 Coll., The Act on the establishment of the Institute of Technology and Business, dated 17th March, 2006.
The Institute of Technology and Business is a public institute.
There are bachelor study programs which include related research, development and creative activities. Based on an agreement on the creation of a new public institute located in České Budějovice, its establishment was concluded between the Ministry of Education and the South Region, and the Institute of Technology and Business conducts its activities in the area of Okružní 10, 370 01 České Budějovice. The campus of the Institute of Technology and Business provides a good background and conditions for study. Students have the possibility of accommodation and catering there. The campus has a wide selection of sports facilities. The Institute of Technology and Business focuses mainly on the implementation of the vocational bachelor degree programs in the form of full-length study lasting 3-4 years. Students can choose between full-time or distant study forms. Implementation of the vocational bachelor's degree programs is supported by the cooperation of business subjects in the region. Other priorities of the Institute of Technology and Business activity include applied research, the introduction of innovative technologies and the knowledge transfer in the current areas that are crucial for the needs of the region.
